About Me
I have been teaching for 13 years. I taught nine years of sixth grade English/language arts, two years as a fifth and sixth grade Title I reading and math interventionist, and two years as a kindergarten through fifth grade reading specialist. I am licensed in two states to teach all subjects, kindergarten through ninth grade. My strengths lie in English, reading, and writing, but I am also available for other subjects. I love teaching and look forward to working with you!

Sixth Grade English/Language Arts Teacher

· Provide progress monitoring and benchmark testing in literacy. · Participate in parent conferences and provide instructional suggestions. · Remain grounded in content standards and objectives in order to facilitate integrated and concept based instruction. · Maintain an organized system of data and continuously move students based on instructional needs. · Assess students using a variety of measures to determine appropriate placement and specific instructional needs.
Sylvan Tutor
· Provided one-on-one assistance to students performing below grade level. · Collaborated with Sylvan administrators. · Recorded student progress and tracked attendance. · Maintained academic records. · Monitored and notified students and Sylvan of student’s academic strengths and weaknesses.
